{"id":928,"date":"2011-09-27T20:35:21","date_gmt":"2011-09-27T19:35:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=928"},"modified":"2011-09-27T20:35:21","modified_gmt":"2011-09-27T19:35:21","slug":"rambling-locally-thinking-globally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2011\/09\/27\/rambling-locally-thinking-globally\/","title":{"rendered":"Rambling locally \u2013 thinking globally?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/hetanshah\">Hetan Shah<\/a> has moved on (and up) to the Royal Statistical Society \u2013 and I do wonder what odds you could have got against that a year ago \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.think-global.org.uk\/\">Think Global<\/a> has acquired a new CEO:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.grough.co.uk\/magazine\/2011\/09\/27\/ramblers-chief-tom-steps-down\">Tom Franklin<\/a> who\u00a0has been chief executive of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ramblers.org.uk\/\">Ramblers Association<\/a> for 4 years or so. \u00a0He starts in January. \u00a0On its latest e-Noticeboard, TG\u00a0Chair, Roger Clarke, says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThink Global selected Tom from a strong field of candidates.
