When I think about the British Royal Family, the first thing that pops into my mind is the Queen, Prince William and Duchess Catherine. I remember watching their wedding celebration on TV a few years ago in my family\u2019s living room while thinking how noble the whole ceremony was and how stunning Catherine looked during the whole celebration. During this time, it seemed that whole of Europe and maybe the whole world were talking about the British Royal Family, which kind of gave them a certain rock star eminence.<\/p>\n
So obviously, when I heard that Prince Harry and his fianc\u00e9e Meghan Markle were coming to our university, I instantly got excited and thought to myself \u2018How cool is this? Prince Harry and Ms Markle are coming to OUR university!\u2019 followed by \u2018This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I would love to see them!\u2019 The reason for their visit was because the University was hosting the Invictus Games UK team trials at the Sports Training Village. Prince Harry is a patron and founder of the Invictus Games, a competition for injured, sick or wounded army veterans from across the world to compete in athletic sports. So, not only would I see one of the grandchildren of the Queen and the American actress of the TV show \u2018Suits\u2019, but also cheer for the participants of the Invictus Games!<\/p>\n
I told everyone excitedly about the news; however, I didn\u2019t know what time they would arrive and as I had coursework to do, I couldn\u2019t allow myself too much free time. Nonetheless, I wouldn\u2019t want to miss this chance, so I took the bus to uni and went to the sports village. From there on it was easy: just follow the crowd. Since I am quite petite, it is easy for me to queue-jump to the first row which I did in this case (I know, don\u2019t do it, but hey, the taller people could see above my head anyway). And all of a sudden I spotted Prince Harry. Next to that, I saw an ever-smiling face, the charming Ms Meghan Markle. They were standing next to the fitness area, and let me tell you, they were celebrated like rock stars (maybe not as teen girls would celebrate boy groups but more in a sophisticated way).<\/p>\n
Afterwards, they drove back following with a plethora of security surveillance where everyone was excited to see a final glimpse of the couple. Both children and adults came to see them, and you could really see their excitement and appreciation for the British Royal Family. I am super happy that I took the time to see them and cannot wait until my graduation where I will meet Prince Edward!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
