It's a call-to-action to challenge the status quo by raising awareness against bias, celebrating women's achievements, and taking action for equality.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-ogsb=\"rgb(254, 254, 254)\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(32, 35, 41)\" data-ogsb=\"yellow\">As Head of Education, Diversity and Inclusion, I am proud to highlight the work of so many brilliant colleagues and students across the University on International Women\u2019s Day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-ogsb=\"rgb(254, 254, 254)\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(32, 35, 41)\" data-ogsb=\"yellow\">There is a huge range of events that you can get involved with on Monday 8th March and throughout the following gender equity week. Links to recordings will also be added if you wanted to catch up on any events or talks at your own time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Artwork:<\/strong> The celebration of <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/athenaswan\/2021\/03\/03\/iwd-celebrating-early-career-researchers-at-the-university\/\">Women Early Career Researchers.<\/a> The ED&amp;I team has worked with Researcher Development Manager Amy Birch to highlight our talented women in the Early Career Researchers (ECR's) Community.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Interview<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/athenaswan\/2021\/03\/01\/our-athena-swan-silver-journey-so-far-collaboration-aspirations-and-next-steps\/\"><em>\"Our Athena Swan Silver Journey so far: collaboration, aspirations and next steps.\"<\/em><\/a> an interview with our Athena Swan leader Dr. Marion Harney by Aiste Senulyte.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Guide:<\/strong> In collaboration with the Department of Education, this fascinating self-learning guide on '<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/athenaswan\/2021\/03\/03\/gender-differences-in-promotable-vs-non-promotable-tasks\/\">Gender differences in promotable vs non-promotable tasks'<\/a> has been pulled together, which we eagerly encourage you to read. It sheds light on the hidden anxiety, stress, and emotional burden that women often have to take on without any recognition.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lecture:<\/strong> This year the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/annual-gender-equality-lecture-tickets-139616553871\">Athena Swan lecture<\/a> was delivered on the 11th of March by the brilliant Professor Vanita Sundaram from the University of York and\u00a0 focussed on sexual harassment at University. You can find the recording <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/8dXVrC6Ryz0\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>#EpicTalks:<\/strong> As part of our ongoing external partnerships, George Brown gave an #EpicTalk for Wiltshire Council on \"Being a Game Changer: Our Shared Responsibility.\"\u00a0 You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YF0yf5nKUPc\">watch the recording<\/a> if you missed the live session on 8th March.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Men as Allies:\u00a0<\/strong>As part of IWD events, Debbie Janson gave a very thought provoking talk in Department of Mechanical Engineering, entitled <strong style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif\"><em>Women in Academia \u2013 Men as Allies. <\/em><\/strong>A recording of the seminar is available <a href=\"https:\/\/uniofbath.cloud.panopto.eu\/Panopto\/Pages\/Viewer.aspx?id=c6dd4f16-e560-4453-8496-acee009cc4cd\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Talk:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/george-brown-in-conversation-with-professor-carole-mundell-tickets-144300443511\"><em>\"Ballroom Dancing or International Science Diplomat? There will be a quiz about some fantastic women and all the amazing things that they have achieved but there'll also be time to just have a chat!<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The University of Bath Feminism and Gender Equality Society is hosting a panel discussion on Monday 8th March at 18:00hrs.
