{"id":109,"date":"2015-11-09T10:42:39","date_gmt":"2015-11-09T10:42:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/?p=109"},"modified":"2015-11-09T10:42:39","modified_gmt":"2015-11-09T10:42:39","slug":"10-west-project-update-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/2015\/11\/09\/10-west-project-update-3\/","title":{"rendered":"10 West: Project update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Progress to date<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project remains on schedule and the team are well prepared for difficult winter weather conditions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent progress has been made on the fa\u00e7ades on all elevations to prepare for installation of final finishings.<\/li>\n<li>Work on the roof has\u00a0nearly finished.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation for the installation of photovoltaic panels has begun.<\/li>\n<li>Internal works throughout the building are progressing well, and the final joinery stage has begun.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of glazed screens will begin soon.<\/li>\n<li>Final works within the Atrium and on the feature stairwell have started\u00a0and should\u00a0be complete by late December 2015<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Health and Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There have been no injuries or accidents on site, reviews continue to ensure a safe environment for the site team and pedestrians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The noise levels will continue to be the same as previous months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did you know\u2026?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On 22 October 2015 the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Glynis Breakwell, together with representatives from the University\u2019s Council and Vinci Construction attended a Topping Out ceremony.\u00a0Topping Out ceremonies are held when a new building reaches its highest point.
