{"id":448,"date":"2018-04-10T12:18:15","date_gmt":"2018-04-10T12:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/?p=448"},"modified":"2018-04-10T12:20:49","modified_gmt":"2018-04-10T12:20:49","slug":"polden-development-update-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/2018\/04\/10\/polden-development-update-april\/","title":{"rendered":"Polden development update - April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the 15<sup>th<\/sup> monthly update with news to keep you informed on the new Polden Corner Student Accommodation project.<\/p>\n<p>The outside of the building is changing rapidly, all structural work is now completed and the final tower crane is no longer in use so will be taken down over the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2018\/04\/Milner-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-449\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2018\/04\/Milner-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"246\" height=\"186\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2018\/04\/Milner-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-450\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2018\/04\/Milner-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"243\" height=\"183\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The stone cladding is now taking shape, and you will see this start to spread over the buildings facing Quarry Road over the next month.\u00a0 In addition to this, we are fixing the support system for the feature \u2018brise soleil\u2019\u00a0 shading which sit in front of the glazing at each staircase.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2018\/04\/Milner-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-451\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/new-builds\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2018\/04\/Milner-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"266\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Inside the building, work is progressing rapidly, and we will be starting to fit the bedroom furniture within the next week.
