Our site managers Tomasz Magiera, Firhan Rudorf-Saeed and Chris Johnson are on site throughout the working day. We are continuing to hold fortnightly meetings with the users of Building 4SA, and attend the monthly University Contractor\u2019s meeting with a view to keeping staff and students informed of our works and to give notice of any potential disruption.<\/p>\n

Roof works are continuing and the Bauder roof system has been installed to 100% of the main roof, and lower balcony roof. The small roof over the entrance door is approx. 90% complete. Handrails to both main and lower roofs have been installed this installed this month.<\/p>\n

Internally, the walls are continuing to be plastered, finished and painted. The feature ammonite ceiling in the breakout room is now fully installed and is awaiting decoration. \u00a0The ductwork and necessary containment for all of the electrical and data is currently being installed \u2013 with the successful handover of the Comms room within the period. The raised access floor works are now complete, with the underfloor clean in effect. Tea points, kitchenettes and toilets have been installed and are in various degrees of progress.<\/p>\n

With the stonework to the North elevation now being complete, the scaffolding has been dismantled allowing the progress of the final section of white Marley Eternit cladding. Groundworks have recommenced and we have begun both the soft and hard landscaping works. \u00a0Part of the hoarding surrounding the site has been removed, and replaced with heras fencing panels wrapped in blue debris netting in order to facilitate the landscaping works.<\/p>\n

Due to the on-going issues previously reported \u2013 namely weather related issues, extensive rock excavation and issues with the painting of the steel frame, the completion date has been revised to mid-August.<\/p>\n
