An update from University of Bath's Vice-Chancellor and President,<\/strong> Professor Ian White DL FREng\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As we approach the end of the academic year I am writing to thank you all, as valued members of our alumni community, for your continued support and important contributions to the University\u2019s ongoing success.<\/p>\n

The 2022-2023 academic year has been an important turning point, in which we have seen remarkable achievements across education, research, enterprise and student experience recognised in our enhanced ranking positions at both national and international level. The year began with Bath being named The Times and Sunday Times University of the Year 2023<\/a> and ends with us ranked in the UK\u2019s top 5 by the Complete University Guide 2024.<\/a> Internationally we climb 31 places in the QS World University Rankings<\/a> to join the top 150, or 10%, of universities globally.<\/p>\n

These are significant milestones for the University, reinforcing our strategic direction and uncompromising focus on excellence and community. These are without question our greatest strengths and define above all else what is so special about Bath, and what will ultimately enable us to realise our highest ambitions: to support the global common good, working in partnership with others for the advancement of knowledge, through an outstanding and inclusive University community, characterised by excellence in education, research and innovation. That is our Vision, which unites each and every one of us and I would like to offer my grateful thanks to all of our supporters for the extremely valuable role you play in helping us to achieve our goals and further our mission.<\/p>\n

I very much look forward to continuing our important work over the next, and my final, year at the University of Bath.<\/p>\n
