Take part in the Minerva lecture series 2020-21

Posted in: Doing Public Engagement

The Public Engagement Unit is looking for speakers and content for the 2020-21 Minerva series.

This series of events will involve both online and in person events showcasing research from across the University. Events take place monthly from September to December and January to July and have a typical attendance of 100 - 120 people from the local area.

The series hosts a wide range of formats including:

  • lectures
  • panel discussions
  • film screenings
  • debates
  • science comedy evenings
  • interviews / conversations

If you are involved with research and / or innovation at the University of Bath and would like to be involved in the Minerva series we are keen to hear from you. We can support you to choose the right format for your research topic and help you get the most out of the event.

Our colleagues in the Events and Ceremonies team will handle the logistics on the day and the Audio-Visual team will be on hand to record your lecture and create a Mini-Minerva video after the event.

Find out more about the Minerva series on the Minerva webpage, including recordings of previous lectures and Mini-Minerva videos created with the help of the Audio-Visual team.

If you'd be interested in taking part in the Minerva series or have an idea that you would like to discuss please get in touch with us before the 31 July.

Rob Cooper is a Public Engagement Officer at the University of Bath.
