Would you like to be a part of an emerging community of practice, exploring the impact of relational work on welfare and\u202fwellbeing?<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h1>Understanding welfare and wellbeing<\/h1>\n<p>A key finding from Phase One of\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/projects\/participatoryresearch-bath\/\">ParticipatoryResearch@Bath <\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">was <\/span><\/em>that there is a high degree of \u2018emotional labour\u2019 involved in the relational work of successful and authentically participatory research projects. However, the support structures for all those involved in this work across the whole research lifecycle are underdeveloped.<\/p>\n<p>Back in June we commissioned <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Jude Fransman (The Open University) and Tigist Grieve (University of Bristol) to <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/publicengagement\/2023\/06\/05\/supporting-welfare-and-wellbeing-in-participatory-research-projects\/\">undertake some exploratory research into this issue<\/a>, and we would like to invite you to share your experience.\u202f<\/span><span
