{"id":1370,"date":"2024-12-06T16:34:46","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T16:34:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/publicengagement\/?p=1370"},"modified":"2024-12-09T09:49:04","modified_gmt":"2024-12-09T09:49:04","slug":"announcing-the-winners-of-images-of-research-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/publicengagement\/2024\/12\/06\/announcing-the-winners-of-images-of-research-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcing the winners of Images of Research 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With such a high quality of entries to the <em>Images of Research 2024<\/em> competition, the Judging Panel had a difficult task.\u00a0 However, after much deliberation, the Public Engagement Unit are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2024 competition.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h1>Celebrating our research<\/h1>\n<p>Back by popular demand, the Images of Research competition returned this year with a new set of brilliant entries that shared some of the University's research and its impact on wider society. The competition winners were announced at a celebration event in the Milner Centre for Evolution hosted by Professor Sarah Hainsworth, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research &amp; Enterprise), on Wednesday, 4 December 2024.<\/p>\n<p>At the event, Sarah highlighted that judging this year's competition was no mean feat due to the quality of the images submitted. Commenting on the submissions, Sarah says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What a fantastic collection of images! I want to extend my congratulations to the winners and highly commended entries as well as to everyone who submitted an image. I, and my fellow judges, have been really very impressed by how you rose creatively to the challenge we posed.
