Does your research aim to tackle social isolation? <\/span>Want<\/span> to meet others exploring this issue and make a few new connections yourself? If you are a <\/span>researcher looking to connect with the wider community in Bath and\/ or simply passionate about building a more connected <\/span>BANES<\/span>, join us for our final <\/span><\/span>Connect!<\/span><\/span> of the year.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Connect!<\/em>\u00a0is an event programme produced by us here at the University of Bath's Public Engagement Unit and Bath Spa University. Connect! events aim to support networking between researchers and community organisations, charities, creative practitioners, social enterprises, and statutory organisations across Bath and North East Somerset.<\/p>\n

Connect!<\/em> - Tackling Social Isolation<\/h1>\n

When<\/strong>: Thursday 4th December 12 - 2pm<\/p>\n

Where<\/strong>: The Percy Centre, Bath BA1 2BN<\/p>\n

Our fifth event will focus on social isolation- its challenges, opportunities, and the inspiring work being done to address it. Over<\/span> a long table and<\/span> some delicious food from Bath Community Kitchen (who are also doing brilliant work to alleviate social isolation through communal meals and cooking classes<\/span>)<\/span> you<\/span> will have the chance to meet new people, discover exciting projects, and share your own ideas.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0More information will be sent out ahead of time as we will be shaping the event based on the areas of interest of who signs up.<\/p>\n
