Learn from me and take photos\/videos of the accommodations \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/students\/2019\/01\/03\/how-i-knew-bath-uni-was-the-one\/\">see my first post<\/a> on choosing a university for more tips.<\/p>\n<p>This is where I had to trawl through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/campaigns\/choose-your-student-accommodation-options\/\">different accommodations\u2019 web pages<\/a> and depend on the 360-degree photo (<em>which is pretty cool, in my humble opinion<\/em>) to make my decision.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So, if you\u2019re also confused and looking for self-catered accommodation, this one is for you!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Living in Solsbury Court accommodation\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rFYrmQEQ5IY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I chose Solsbury Court as it was on campus, self-catered and ensuite \u2013 though ensuite didn\u2019t matter too much. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/student-accommodation\/marlborough-court-and-solsbury-court-student-accommodation\/\">Solsbury and Marlborough Court<\/a> appear as the same option when you apply as they\u2019re basically the same but just different buildings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My favourite things about living in Solsbury would include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My room is pretty spacious, and I like that the floor isn\u2019t carpet so it\u2019s easier to clean (<em>with that said though, dust gathers very quickly for some reason and cleaning is now my fav form of procrastination!<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>The kitchen is a lovely communal space to socialise and cook in \u2013 there are 7 of us in my flat and we get a cupboard and a half, one fridge shelf and one freezer shelf each.<\/li>\n<li>The laundrette, which is in Marlborough Court, is just a short walk away which means laundry isn\u2019t as big of a chore as I thought it\u2019d be!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I\u2019ve really enjoyed living here so far and would totally recommend it if you\u2019re going by the same criteria as I did, but then again, I\u2019m kinda biased \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You\u2019ve got your offer (congrats!) and now you have to apply for accommodation and you\u2019re a little overwhelmed due to the sheer amount of choice Bath offers.
