Hopefully, this guide will help make the process slightly less stressful!<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Consider your accommodation<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is not really spoken about but maybe one of the most important things to think about!<\/p>\n<p>Are you living on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> floor without a lift to get to it? Is your room tiny with little storage space?<\/p>\n<p>Asking yourself these questions will help you decide how to pack (suitcases vs boxes) and save you from packing excess if your accommodation doesn\u2019t have sufficient space.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Pack lighter than you think<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a general rule, you want to pack lighter than you think as it\u2019s natural to overpack when you\u2019re about to move out of home \u2013 for the first time for most people.<\/p>\n<p>I learnt the hard way and ended up with at least 2 boxes of things that I didn\u2019t touch throughout my first AND second year\u2026<\/p>\n<p>So, pack, repack and repack again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Make lists for everything<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Not to be overly perfectionist, but you want to try not to miss anything out since you might not go home for a while.
