Due to essential repairs being undertaken as of Monday 27 June 2016 access to the Upper Walk road will no longer be possible (the road which runs past the halls of residence at the north of campus). This is due to the fact that we will be digging up the road in order to improve the ride quality for motorists/cyclists and also improve the pedestrianised areas in front of Eastwood Houses 1-34.
Traffic will now be diverted through Middle Walk which will become ‘two way traffic’ for all road users until Friday 16th September 2016. Traffic lights and associated diversion signage will be in place to help ensure that traffic flow is prioritised at peak times.
Whilst these works are essential we would like to apologise in advance for the inconvenience that these works and associated diversions will cause, and assure you that we will do everything possible to return the road network back to normal service as soon as possible
