Cleveland Bridge project update

Posted in: Planned road works, Road closures

We have received the following update from B&NES council:

"It was hoped work could start in April due to the urgency of the work, however due to the need to obtain various technical approvals and consent was slightly delayed, today we are confirming that works will begin on May 4. Traffic control will be in place for four weeks while scaffolding is put up and traffic will be reduced to one lane with traffic signals in place.

A full bridge closure will start in the week beginning May 31, with diversion routes in place for motorists.

More information regarding the essential structural repairs to this Grade II* listed structure, visit www.bathnes.gov.uk/clevelandbridge.

You can also keep up to the date with the works by going to our Newsroom or by following us on twitter."
