{"id":311,"date":"2017-11-15T13:41:34","date_gmt":"2017-11-15T13:41:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/water\/?p=311"},"modified":"2017-11-15T13:46:35","modified_gmt":"2017-11-15T13:46:35","slug":"fellowship-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/water\/2017\/11\/15\/fellowship-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Fellowship Success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two members of staff at the University of Bath have recently been awarded Fellowships from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nerc.ac.uk\/\">NERC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/math-sci\/contacts\/academics\/ilaria-prosdocimi\/\">Dr.\u00a0Ilaria Prosdocimi<\/a> from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/math-sci\/\">Department of Mathematical\u00a0Sciences<\/a>\u00a0has been awarded a Industrial Innovation Fellowship with a project titled \"<em>Developing Innovative\u00a0Flood Frequency\u00a0Estimation for a Resilient\u00a0nation (DIFFER)<\/em>\". \u200b\u00a0The project aims at developing\u00a0innovative statistical methods to estimate flood risk across the UK based on existing but\u00a0under-utilised records, with a special focus on the identification of possible increases\u00a0in flood frequencies in the recent years. The project will\u00a0rely on the collaboration with governmental\u00a0and industry partners.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/ace\/people\/wain\/\">Dr. Danielle Wain<\/a> from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/ace\/\">Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering<\/a> has been awarded a Industrial Mobility Fellowship with a project titled \"<em>Stirring things up: Do surface mixers in drinking water reservoirs improve water quality?<\/em>\". The project will focus on turbidity in raw water and will be a combined field and modelling project on Durleigh Reservoir with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wessexwater.co.uk\/\">Wessex Water<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two members of staff at the University of Bath have recently been awarded Fellowships from NERC.
