One of the applications of these will be in water filtration.<\/p>\n<p>Through the project, Drs Mattia and Patterson will work with a number of significant industry partners including Johnson Matthey, Evonik, GlaxoSmithKline, BP, Pervatech, Bluestone Global Tech, Anglian Water, Severn Trent Water, Thames Water and Scottish Water.<\/p>\n<p>The new project has already received widespread media attention, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/edition.pagesuite-professional.co.uk\/launch.aspx?eid=5e0f4fd7-51ff-4cd1-99c5-41526c7a4fdc&amp;pnum=2\" target=\"_blank\">Water Active<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.processingmagazine.com\/articles\/128777-uk-study-aims-to-improve-membrane-technology\" target=\"_blank\">Water waste processing<\/a> (70,000 readers)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.processingmagazine.com\/articles\/print\/128777-uk-study-aims-to-improve-membrane-technology\" target=\"_blank\">Processing Magazine<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/water.tallyfox.com\/mosaic\/text\/research-project-immortal-membrane\" target=\"_blank\">The Water Network<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.environmentguru.com\/pages\/elements\/element.aspx?id=1942476\" target=\"_blank\">Environmentguru<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsjs.com\/news\/view\/2015\/03\/19\/Funding-secured-to-develop-next-generation-membranes-Univers\/\" target=\"_blank\">NewsJS<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/waterbriefing.org\/home\/technology-focus\/item\/10541-%C2%A31m-funding-secured-for-uk-r--d-project-develop-next-generation-membranes\" target=\"_blank\">Water Briefing<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzhealthtec.com\/funding-secured-to-develop-next-generation-membranes\/\" target=\"_blank\">NZ Healthtec<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/chem-eng\/people\/mays\/\">Dr Tim Mays<\/a>, Head of our Department of Chemical Engineering, added: \u201cThis is a fantastic project for the University to be involved in. There is a wealth of water research expertise at Bath, across all disciplines.
