Earlier this week the Chairs of both women\u2019s networks at the University met with the Vice-Chancellor to share some of the issues raised by our members. The following were the main discussion points:<\/p>\n
\u2022 How to support career progression for staff in the MSA and TE job families \u2013 the Reward team in HR are carrying out a project in this area and it was suggested that the networks could be a useful consultation mechanism for the project<\/p>\n
\u2022 Challenges around returning from parental leave \u2013 discussed whether colleagues returning from parental leave could be offered support from the internal coaching network.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Period poverty \u2013 there is a pilot currently underway to provide free sanitary products in toilets in a number of buildings. The VC agreed it would be useful for the project lead to share details with the networks.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Lack of staff only spaces with food provision \u2013 the VC agreed to raise this again with the campus services team now that working patterns have settled down post-COVID to see if there are spaces that could be opened up.<\/p>\n
