Through taking hot spring at the top of Hengill volcano and exploring \u00deingvellir National Park, I had many networking opportunities with other 42 talented participants selected competitively by TGP.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_218\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-218\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/women-in-engineering\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2017\/11\/Yannis-in-Iceland.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-218 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/women-in-engineering\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2017\/11\/Yannis-in-Iceland-300x221.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/women-in-engineering\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2017\/11\/Yannis-in-Iceland-300x221.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/women-in-engineering\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2017\/11\/Yannis-in-Iceland.png 556w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-218\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Yui Yan in Iceland<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Being surrounded by highly motivated friends from US, UAE and Canada, I transformed into a more open-minded, confident and daring individual through adventurous activities like snorkeling between tectonic plates in Silfra and hiking on S\u00f3lheimaj\u00f6kull Glacier. I also learnt more about the Nordic culture through camping in \u00de\u00f3rsm\u00f6rk.
