The Women\u2019s Engineering Society\u2019s 10th Annual Student\u00a0 Conference was held at Warwick University on the topic of\u00a0Building Sustainable Cities and Communities.\u00a0 I was funded to attend the event by BP along with two female other engineering students from Bath. The conference was across two days and featured keynote speeches, a bridge building workshop lead by the Army, and workshops covering a variety of subjects. Attending the conference helped to remind me why I had chosen to study engineering in the first place, as the topic of sustainability is something I am particularly passionate about.<\/p>\n

One highlight for me was being able to meet so many other young women studying engineering and to hear from those who had achieved success in their fields. The talks given by the speakers were incredibly inspiring: the messages and the feeling of determination to succeed, that I left the conference with will be hard to forget.<\/p>\n
