Launch of the NIHR Research Delivery Network

Posted in: HealthResSW

The NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN) launched on 1st October and replaces the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN).

The RDN has been introduced to respond to the changing requirements of the health and care research system. It will enable more types of research to happen across a wider range of health and care settings and provide consistent services and support. This new organisational structure will help make the UK a more attractive place to conduct high quality research.

The RDN consists of 12 Regional Research Delivery Networks (RRDNs). Locally the CRN West of England has been replaced with the South West Central Regional RDN (SWC RRDN), but the transition from the CRN WoE to the SWC RRDN will continue until April 2025.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do get in touch. You can contact them via their new email swc.rrdn@nihr.ac.uk.
