On June 13th and 14th, the University of Bath hosted its Undergraduate Open Day welcoming future students. Our team from the International Relations Office (IRO) was there both days, ready to chat about study abroad opportunities.
We met and chatted with many excited students and parents, with everyone enjoying the wonderful sunshine! People asked a variety of questions—where you can go, why should they choose to study abroad, how to apply, and what funding options are available.
We really encourage students to see studying abroad as a unique chance to live like a local in a new country and dive into a different education system. It’s not just about learning a language—studying abroad helps you grow personally, become more adaptable, and see the world from a fresh perspective.
Plus, studying or working abroad can boost your academic skills, help you build an international network, and open doors to global career opportunities.
And let’s be honest—studying abroad is also a lot of fun! It’s a chance to experience university life somewhere new. The enriching experience of studying abroad is something we believe every student should have the opportunity to enjoy.
We enjoyed meeting so many prospective future students! If you have any questions about studying abroad or the Turing Scheme, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. The IRO team is always happy to help. Or, check out our guidance for students interested in studying abroad during their undergraduate degree.
