Statement of Support
The University of Bath Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity Network (EDIN) would like to state its unequivocal support for the LGBTQIA+ campus community given the Supreme Court's recent decision to strictly define both men and women using biological sex. While we await the Equality and Human Rights Commission's guidance on the myriad ways this decision will affect everyday life for the LGBTQIA+ community, the EDI Network wants all Trans, Intersex, and Non-binary staff, students, friends and family to know that the EDI Network will support and advocate for you at every turn. The EDI network exists as an independent voice that relentlessly advocates for respect, equality, and inclusive diversity for all marginalised groups.
The University of Bath's Kaleidoscope LGBT+ Staff and PGR Group will also be running a lunchtime meet-up for Trans and Non-binary staff, and details on this event will be forthcoming.
