School climate strikes in Germany

An NAEE weekly round up in August provided a link to a long article in spiegel-on-line about how the school climate strikes in Germany have evolved over the past year.

There was a week-long summer conference in Dortmund at the start of August when more than a thousand young people pitched up to protest and save the world.  The conference is said to have cost over 200,000 Euros which seems astonishing.  The activists are now calling for a general strike involving "workers" in order to pressure politicians to take more effective measures.  This is set for September 20th.
