LGBT+ Coffee and Cakes

Posted in: Events

Update [2019 March 18]: this event has been postponed due to the spread of COVID-19. We'll reassess and bring this back on as soon as possible. Stay safe.

Join fellow LGBT+ academic staff at the University for an informal networking event over coffee and cake. Members of Kaleidoscope Committee will be on hand to answer your questions about work we do to foster an inclusive workplace at Bath. This is a drop-in event, so feel free to stop by just to grab your drink and slice of cake* and to introduce yourself. We'd love to see you there!

Whereas studies show that being our whole selves is beneficial to our work and to our interactions with others, sometimes our LGBT+ identity can take a back seat due to incessant academic deadlines and demands. This can make it challenging to connect with members of shared identities, or indeed even to maintain that connection with ourselves. So take a moment to stop by this pilot event, make some new friends, or really just have your afternoon sugar fix.

Wednesday, March 25
Location: Chancellor's Building, Level 1 Foyer
Time: 3.15 - 4.45 pm

Please register your interest so we know how much coffee/cake to acquire/bake.

We look forward to seeing you there!

*cakes may be home-made for the event, and we will endeavour to provide gluten-free options
