BoB is Learning on Screen’s on demand TV and radio service for education. The academically-focused system allows staff and students at subscribing institutions to record programmes from over 65 free-to-air channels, and search their extensive archive.
There are over 2 million broadcasts available in BoB (and this number is growing every day) meaning the cost of each broadcast is less than 0.003p. Increased student usage is also helping achieve positive responses to question 19 of the National Student Survey: ‘the library resources (e.g. books, online services and learning spaces) have supported my learning well.’
BoB has recently undergone a significant facelift, with an array of new features to make the system more beneficial to users. Learning on Screen want to help all our members get the most out of the upgraded BoB system, so are offering University staff an on-site demonstration of the resource and all its new capabilities.
