Celebrating our 2026 Bath Languages interns

Posted in: Employability, Foreign languages

Huge congratulations to our new cohort of Bath Languages interns, who successfully completed a rigorous assessment and recruitment process in Semester 1, standing out in an exceptionally strong field of applicants.

After their initial on‑campus training, our interns will be heading into local schools throughout Semester 2, applying their linguistic skills to support learners at primary, GCSE and A level.

This cross‑institutional initiative is delivered in collaboration with colleagues from PoLIS and Employability and Student Success.

The Languages Internships offer students a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to local schools while developing their global skills, confidence, and readiness for the workplace. We are delighted to partner with Bathwick St Mary Primary School, Beechen Cliff School, Hayesfield Girls’ School and Ralph Allen School, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact our students will make.
— Claire Charlemagne, Head of Languages

If you're interested in developing your language skills, enrolments on our Semester 2 language courses are still open for students and staff at the university. Offering beginners to advanced level courses in six languages, our courses are a fantastic way to learn a new language from scratch or brush up on language skills you may already have from GCSE, A level, or living in another country.
