Life-long Support as a Graduate
Since the world turned upside down, I know many students and graduates have found it frustrating and challenging, and have struggled with what has been happening and what it may mean for your career. If you are a current postgraduate student, you may be only days or weeks from completing your course (and some of you have already - many congratulations to you!). If you are a graduate, maybe you are in a job that isn’t relevant to what you want to do as a career and you want a change. While things have changed significantly for all of us, I want to reassure you that your Careers Service is here for you now and at each stage of your future career with life-long access. See here for a recent blog with more information on how we support you as a graduate.
What is the Stay Connected Programme?
Specifically, for you, the class of 2020 and 2021, and for any graduate who feel they would like additional support, we are putting together a bespoke collection of resources, events and support as part of our #StayConnected programme. This time our events are tailored to postgraduates, however everyone is welcome! On September 16th we will have our launch event, where there will be talks and workshops on the labour market, job search, interview skills and application advice, plus an additional session specifically for international graduates about visa options after you graduate, covering more information about the graduate route visa and skilled worker visa. You don’t want to miss it!
On September 20th we will have additional sessions for experienced hires (for those of you with more than 2 years’ experience) and a workshop on assessment centres.
We plan to have further events this Autumn and in addition, we will have lots of online resources and videos for you to explore!
Sign up here to access the programme and events.
Weekly Bespoke Emails
We also want to stay in touch with regular emails, which will include vacancies along with resources to help you thrive in a post-pandemic world of work. All you need to do is to opt in to access this tailored support by signing up here.
If you are a graduate and you are unsure how to log-in to MyFuture, see more details on how to do this here.
Join us for this exciting programme now! See you in a workshop soon.
