Our Shared Future is our initiative with the local authority which brings together skills, knowledge and expertise to explore and address major challenges in Bath and the wider region.
The Our Shared Future initiative was launched in January 2020. Three themes identified by Bath & North East Somerset Council (B&NES) as priority areas: cohesion and inclusivity; infrastructure; and climate change, inspired a number of workshops between University researchers, Council and local organisations including the NHS and voluntary sector to develop ideas for the work ahead.
A year on and the project has been successful in delivering against these themes, and in establishing collaboration between the University and the council which supported work to address challenges raised by COVID-19.
