Are you a trustee of a charity? If so we'd love to know, and we also have some new links that might be helpful to you - read on!

New guidance
The Charity Commission has launched new guidance and support for Trustees, including a series of five minute videos covering a range of topics from financial management, safeguarding, and managing conflicts of interest. You can find out more here.

Are you a charity treasurer?
If so the Dorectory of Social Change has published 'Top five tips for Charity Treasurers' on its website. These are suitable for the treasurers of any size charity and will help ensure you're doing the best job you can.

Looking for a new bank account?
Charity Digital has just published a run down on the best bank accounts available to charities on its website. This overview looks at factors including how your organisation operates, the level of finance that it deals with, and the nature of the donations which it processes.

Keep in touch
We are often monitoring the support available to charity volunteers and trustees which we can share with UoB staff. It is also very helpful for us to know which of our staff are involved in local charities, as knowing of existing relationships can help when looking to establish new research partnerships or to involve charities in University-run schemes such as Gold Scholarships. Do get in touch and let us know if you're involved in a charity, especially if it is local. Thank you!
