The Future Ambition Board, or FAB, is a structure set up to facilitate collaborative work across Bath and North East Somerset.
The University of Bath, along with its partners at Bath Spa University, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Royal United Hospitals Bath, Curo, and other organisations across the region will work together through the Future Ambition Board to deliver on the commitment made in the Future Ambition Civic Agreement.
The Future Ambition Board is a voluntary partnership that has developed through and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic based on co-creating and realising a shared vision for the region. It is a framework which enables partners and stakeholders to further develop our shared vision and to work collaboratively on projects and programmes to realise it. By working together, the Civic Agreement signatory organisations will steer the activity of the Future Ambition Board and its associated workstreams.
The Future Ambition Board has delivered a shared Economic Strategy for the Bath and North East Somerset Region, and has identified six key themes that will be delivered on through dedicated working groups. These working groups involve Civic Agreement organisations alongside other key local partners working in collaboration:
- Good Work
- Resilient Business
- Housing Affordability
- A Greener Economy
- Creativity and Innovation
- Stronger Places
