I was contacted the other day by someone I didn't know who wrote:
"I am researching for student resources and found this page here psi.org.uk/ehb/projectsbarratt.html and I wanted to see if you were the person that manages this page. I have a question regarding the resources and wanted to know if you can help me answer them."
I wrote back saying I'd be happy to help if I could. Imagine my surprise, then, when I got this response:
"I thought you might be interested in another authoritative educational resource that would be beneficial for all your students"
Turns out she wasn't at all interested in the work that my colleagues and I did; rather, she was just promoting resources
that she'd generated generated. All rather disingenuous and disappointing! Cold calling by email.
Poor Faith in more senses than one.
