Professor Stephen Emmitt gives us a quick update on what's been happening within the ACE Department throughout the last 12 months:
- We moved into our new building, 4 East South (4ES) with our purpose built studios, workshops and office space
- We moved back into our refurbished labs in 6 East (6E)
- We welcomed our biggest ever cohort of undergraduate students in architecture and also in civil engineering
- We achieved a significant increase in external research grant income for ACE, over double our average income
- We continued to record excellent performance in the teaching league tables, with architecture (1st) and civil engineering (4th)
- We continue to attract growing numbers to our postgraduate taught programmes
- We welcomed new staff to ACE as we continue to grow our teaching and research excellence
