An introduction to public involvement in research - 20th November 2012 - People and Research South West

This half day course is intended for researchers who would like to involve members of the public in their research projects more effectively. The course will enable those new to public involvement in research, as well as supporting those who already involve the public, to develop their practice. The training will be co-facilitated by Professor David Evans, from the University of the West of England, and a Research Partner. The course will take place from 1400–1700 on Tuesday, 20th November at the Glenside Campus of the University of the West of England. We will consider different models of involvement including how the public can be involved on research panels, advisory groups, as research partners, peer researchers and user-led research.
