WEAHSN launch the first Evidence into Practice Challenge 2013/14

Posted in: HealthResSW

The West of England AHSN is a new geographical network which brings together the local Universities, NHS Trusts, social enterprises who provide community health and social care services, Clinical Commissioning groups and colleagues from industry and is launching its first “Evidence into Practice “challenge.

This year we want to select a small number of proposals, mainly from evidence generated within the West of England which has demonstrated clear and rapidly achievable health outcome and financial benefits.

This year we will favour proposals which have local champions who have experience of successfully implementing their evidence in part of the West of England.

We will choose schemes from a wide spectrum across acute medical and surgical specialties, children and maternity, mental health/learning disability, primary care and public health with the intention of evaluating our success and rolling them out across the whole of the West of England, using the learning for the future. We will also choose one or two schemes from other Academic Health Science Networks or national evidence bases in discussion with the Strategic Clinical Networks for the South West.

The WEAHSN are offering three Question & Answer sessions in October and will try to offer additional sessions if there is a demand for them.
