Making involvement in dementia research count

Posted in: HealthResSW

This day will celebrate the partnerships between scientists and the public that lie at the heart of dementia research at the University of the West of England.

The morning will include focussed presentations, each lasting about ten minutes, emphasising how those affected by dementia have contributed to the main findings of the research. It is aimed at those who would like to find out more about UWE’s dementia research, including students, academics, practitioners, members of the public and others who have been affected by dementia.

Date and time: Monday 9 December, 09:45 to 13:00, followed by buffet lunch

Venue: Severn Room, UWE Exhibition and Conference Centre

Organised by: The University of the West of England, Alzheimer’s Society and South-West Dementia Research Network (DeNDRon).

The event is free, but numbers are limited. To reserve a place, contact Richard Cheston or Lauren Gatting on +44 (0)117 32 88927 or e-mail richard.cheston@uwe.ac.uk
