The rapid spread of COVID-19 has meant that the NHS and local authorities have had to quickly adapt their services. To enable them to do this, it is vital that they have access to the best evidence. NIHR ARC West have assembled a team of volunteer researchers from University of Bath, University of Bristol and UWE who have signed up to help with rapid evidence and evaluation support to help the health and care system across the West of England inform their COVID-19 response. All evidence summaries produced are posted on the ARC West website here.
Regional Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and local authorities across the ARC West geographical footprint have all submitted rapid review requests to this service for support with:
- Rapid evidence/info retrieval, synthesis and summary
- Data analysis- statisticians
- Health economists
- Modelling expertise
- Advice on evaluation design
- Expertise in particular subject areas
ARC West are seeking further rapid review requests from BSW CCG. Send your requests to Dr Lisa Austin, BSW Research Hub Manager, at l.austin@bath.ac.uk
