Looking forward to Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2023

Posted in: Disability, Inclusion

Thursday 18 May is Global Accessibility Awareness Day. Visit the University of Bath’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day page to better understand some of the accessibility experiences and challenges faced by our community, learn about support and resources at Bath, and empower you to engage with accessibility.

Members of Bath’s academic, CLT, DD&T, Disability Services, student and staff communities are working together to showcase a range of events, activities, blogs and resources for Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

Changes to legal requirements and also how we work, teach and study following the global pandemic, continue to highlight how engagement with accessibility is important for individuals and the University as a whole.

You can register now for the TEL Fixathon (11 May) to improve your digital resources, take part in the monthly Inclusive design workshop (12 May) to develop your accessible practice or join the Power of accessibility resources workshop (18 May) to gain a broader awareness of the impact accessibility can have. Additionally, the theme for the University of Bath’s annual Edufest Learning & Teaching Event is Inclusivity (16-17 May).

More resources and features, including blogs and experience from our University community will be released closer to the Global Accessibility Awareness Day on the 18 May.
