At the end of February Lily Rumsey, Director of International Relations, and Tracey Stenson Jukes, International Mobility Manager, spent two days in Brussels where they were hosted by Paul Davies and Ethan Andrews of the Bristol and Bath Brussels Office.
The visit was busy and productive, involving a number of engagements with key stakeholders including The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities, Coimbra Group, European University Association and UNA Europa.
The focus of the visit was on developing European networks and better understanding the EU Commission landscape, in light of BREXIT. The IRO aims to build strategically on this and future visits to Brussels via a new European Working Group initiative.
