A Snapshot of This Year's Cohort

As the new academic year begins, we are thrilled to welcome 114 exchange students from 24 different countries, representing 39 universities worldwide. Whether they are staying for a single semester or the full academic year, these students are set to bring a vibrant mix of cultures, perspectives, and experiences to our campus.

Out of the 114 students, 15 will be staying for the full academic year, while the remaining students will join us for one semester. The top three countries represented are France, Spain, and Italy, with 20, 17, and 14 students respectively.

The most popular department this year? Management. It seems many of our incoming students are eager to dive into one of our strongest and most dynamic fields.

The journey for our exchange students began on Tuesday, 24th September, with a warm induction day designed to ease them into life at the University of Bath.

The day kicked off with registration, where students picked up their induction bags filled with goodies. The atmosphere was lively as students enjoyed food and drinks, making this the perfect opportunity to mingle and start forming friendships.

Following the initial introductions, students gathered for the Welcome Talk, featuring presentations from key members of the International Mobility team, including Lilith Ding, our International Mobility Coordinator for Incoming Students, and Tabitha Bradley, our International Mobility Coordinator (Turing).

The students were then introduced to the variety of support services and resources available on campus. Presentations from the Students’ Union, the Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Programme, Student Support, and the Skills Centre highlighted the many ways students can make the most of their time at the University of Bath.

The day concluded with a campus tour, led by current students. This was a wonderful opportunity for exchange students to familiarise themselves with their new surroundings and get insider tips on the best spots to study, socialise, and explore on campus.
