Hi everyone – its Sophie here! (One of your friendly group co-chairs 😉 )
When Ed and I set up this group we were so excited and couldn’t wait to get started but there was one small problem… the name:
“The University of Bath LGBT+ Staff and Postgraduate Researchers Group”
just didn’t roll off the tongue!
So at our first ever meeting on Thursday we asked everyone who attended for their suggestions of catchy names we could use to identify the group (as well as ideas for socials, but that’s another blog post altogether).
We had 19 suggestions ranging from the academic (Arcus – Latin for rainbow) to the unusual (Gays in a Bath!!). But our lovely Committee had a chat about on it the very next morning, and there was one suggestion that really stood out:
Kaleidoscope
We all loved it, and we really hope you do too.
