The University and The SU (Students' Union) have launched a new tool that will allow students, staff, and visitors to report incidents online.
Both the University and The SU are committed to ensuring that students and staff can study and work in a community that does not tolerate harassment, assault, discrimination or misconduct.
The Report and Support tool, as part of the #NeverOK campaign, has been developed in consultation with the SU, Student Services, Human Resources, and the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) team.
This tool will allow users to report anonymously and receive signposting to both internal and external support services. Users’ can also choose to make a named report that will result in contact and support from the SU, Student Services, Human Resources, or ED&I team.
Alisha Lobo, SU Community Officer said:
“The Report and Support tool is a provision for the students and staff of this University and the importance of it cannot be overstated. By the time a victim comes to report an incident they have already overcome barriers of fear, stigma, and shame. This tool gives the power back to them by giving them the choice to decide what to do next. This tool is a demonstration of the University’s commitment to the wellbeing and safety of all the members of its community.”
