Manvers Street Project Update

External works

  • Window replacements are progressing well on Levels 2 and 3.
  • Concrete panels and glazing to the front elevation have been removed and will be replaced with curtain wall glazing.
  • Bath Stone cladding is progressing to the new lift shaft on the South elevation and is due to be completed this week.
  • The front courtyard waterproofing and tanking works are progressing.
  • Roofing works are complete and the new air handling unit will be lifting onto the roof with a mobile crane.

Access routes across the site are maintained for the University staff working on Level 4.  The access routes will be amended as the works progress.
Internal works

Level 1

  • Internal tanking and waterproofing works are complete.
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Carpentry works are progressing well.
  • Plasterboarding is ongoing and plastering will follow.

Level 2

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Carpentry works are progressing well.
  • Decorations and finishes works have commenced.

Level 3

  • The toilet refurbishments are complete and handed over for use by occupants.
  • The staff have now been relocated from the South end of Level 4 onto Level 3 in preparation for the lift shaft breakthroughs.

All works on Level 3 will be completed by the end of November.
