Communicate, the National History Consortium's leading conference for nature and environmental communications professionals, returns on 17-19 November 2026, with free virtual tickets available to all University of Bath students, staff, and personnel.
This theme for the 2026 conference is Breaking Barriers. How best can we confront the challenges to reach the broadest audience – spanning across increasingly divided political, industrial, and ideological divides – and tell the most vital and compelling stories in the face of unprecedented environmental challenges?
This year’s programme “brings together the latest research, innovative approaches, and inspirational voices to create new thinking, practical takeaways, networking and connection, and as ever a chance to work together on impact and shared purpose”.
The Public Engagement Unit is offering free tickets to all three days of Communicate's virtual panels, including Tackling misinformation in hyperlocal channels and spaces, Greenwashing and greenhushing, and Nostalgia as a framing and communication tool.
