WN:CGC Committee

Creina O’Shea Co-chair

Photograph of Creina O'SheaHi, I am Creina and I work for the Faculty of Engineering and Design as Operations and Project Manager. I volunteered to set up this network as I thought it was important to connect with people across the university, provide a platform for women and a space to learn and share, whether that be career orientated, mental wellbeing or a chance to socialise. I am really excited to see the community grow.

Tessa Ryall

Photograph of Tessa KerslakeHello, I am Faculty Executive Coordinator in the Faculty of Engineering & Design. I am delighted to be part of the Women’s Network, to meet peers and broaden my network across the university. I initially volunteered for the committee as I am interested in pursuing and sharing personal development opportunities and career progression within the University. I really enjoy meeting new people, so being a part of the network has been a fantastic way of building relationships across the university with people who I would have otherwise never met!

Jess McCallum

Photograph of Jess McCallumI joined the University in 2019 as a part-time Programmes Administrator for Distance Learning MScs in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. I then began another role in the Faculty of Science in January 2020 (just before the pandemic!). I eventually moved into my currently role, also in Science, as Faculty Operations Officer at the end of 2022. I have held a variety of university admin roles both here and at another institution and so when the opportunity to join this new Women’s Network: Career and Growth came up I jumped at the chance. I really want to work with colleagues across the university to foster a community where we support each other, whatever our career plans!

Amy Jefferies

Photograph of Amy JefferiesHi! I’m Amy Jefferies, a Registry Systems Officer in the Department of Academic Registry. I joined the University during the COVID-19 pandemic and, as everyone was working from home, I was distanced from my colleagues for quite some time. I think that the Women’s Network: Career Growth and Community is a good opportunity to foster connection, and that is why I volunteered to join the network committee. The network also aims to support and facilitate the career development of its members, which I’m very enthused about.

Amy Lippai

Photograph of Amy LippaiI work as a Content Writer in the Digital Content team in the Department of Marketing. I chose to join the Women’s Network Committee as I am interested in campaigning for additional training, networking, and development opportunities for staff across the University. Through this role, I hope to help identify the barriers that currently exist for women working at Bath and establish new events and resources so the University can better meet our needs. My hope is that the Network will facilitate better connections between departments, and also be a space for women to make new friends and feel part of a community.

Melissa Oram

Hi! I'm Melissa and I work for The SU as Student Voice Coordinator (Change & Inclusion). I joined the network when it first launched back in March 2023, excited to be part of a network of women (like me!) looking to develop in their careers and explore professional development opportunities. I have particularly enjoyed hearing from women getting the chance to attend talks on career planning and soft project management skills, as well as hearing about the careers of some very impressive women! I am now doing my bit as a member of the committee.

I wanted to join the committee to empower and support other women and use my experience and enthusiasm to bring new ideas and opportunities to the group and the wider network, sharing success, updating knowledge and being part of something great!
