The early part of the year brings several conferences and shows for teaching technology.
Recently there has been BETT (teaching technology - January) and ISE (integrated systems - February). BVE (broadcast video) is next week.

Magic Whiteboard
This product featured recently on Dragon's Den - and is a really neat solution for multi use writing surfaces if you're in a space without them. You need nothing more than a reasonable flat wall to use.
