Start spreading the news, they did it My Way!

A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all who went to see the Rat Pack at the Theatre Royal last night.  The eleven piece orchestra and pianist kept the music flowing for the cast whilst they sung, joked and drank their way through the best songs of the 1950s and 60s.   Stephen Triffitt was superb as Frank Sinatra, not only looking and sounding the part but also capturing Frank's many mannerisms.  Nigel Casey portrayed Dean Martin with drink in hand and became increasing tipsy as the show progressed and Darren Charles captured the singing voice of the impish Sammy Davis Jr.  Nicola Emmanuel as Ella Fitzgerald was supported by a trio of backing singers as the Burelli Sisters. The audience was treated to a tribute of many songs from The Lady is a Tramp, Mr Bojangles, That’s Amore, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, What Kind of Fool Am I, Volare, Everybody Loves Somebody, Night and Day, S’Wonderful, Mack The Knife, with the first act ending with New York New York and before the second act finale My Way.
