Virtual practice

Many employers have a recorded video interview as one of the initial stages in their recruitment. This usually involves recording your answers to a variety of questions.

We subscribe to GraduatesFirst which offers a practice video interview platform that mimics this kind of interview so you can get used to it. You can get automated feedback within the software and share your recording.

Interview coaching course

The interview coaching course is an integrated development path for students which combines self-directed eLearning, self-reflection and 1-1 coaching with a highly experienced adviser/executive coach. It is less suitable if you have an interview coming up due to the time required, but if you want to really brush up on your interview skills – this is the course for you.

If you want to invest time and focus in really understanding where the gaps are in your interview skills and confidence and in gaining the knowledge, tools and confidence you need to ace your next interview, then this opportunity has your name on it!

1:1 appointments

Interview discussion

You can have a 1:1 chat in an appointment with our advisers about anything interview-related. Whether there is a particular question you are not sure how to answer or you are not sure what questions you should ask yourself, our advisers are here to support you.

Interview practice

You can also use our appointments to have a quick practice of a couple of interview questions with an Adviser and get instant feedback. You can bring along the questions you would like to practice or ask our Advisers to choose some generic questions at random.

Tailored practice interview

If you have a real interview coming up, we can offer a limited number of tailored practice interview slots. What makes these different to our interview practice appointments is that you submit details of the job and interview you are preparing for along with your CV. From these an Adviser will prepare a tailored practice interview and the appointment will be treated as if it is an actual interview. You will then get detailed feedback at the end of the interview on how it went.
