The UK Department for Environmental Education

Posted in: News and Updates

Thanks to an eagle-eyed colleague in China (who spends too much time web-surfing), I got to hear of this last week.  It seems to exist only on Facebook as far as I can see.  It says:

The UK Department for Environmental Education Is based in the National Forest area ,Which Covers the Towns of Burton On Trent ,Swadlincote ,and Ashby and East Staffordshire ,South Derbyshire and Northwest Leicestershire in the UK

It has a mission of sorts ...

  • Environmental conservation
  • Outdoors
  • Environmental consultant

... and describes itself like this ...

This Organisation was formed to promote Environmental Education in towns and cities in the UK .

To Promote Nature and Wildlife awareness and activities in Schools ,Community groups and amongst the General public

Conducting nature walks and talks ,Wildlife projects ,events and activities for both young and old .

Links to other local/national environmental organisations

Great pics though, and, one month in, there is growing activity.  More later, especially, perhaps, from Curtis Wright ...
