Nagoya: now UK ministers can see what they missed ...

Posted in: Comment, News and Updates

You'll have noted that UK ministers gave the following reason for their absence at UNESCO's Nagoya ESD-fest:

"... heavy diary commitments of ... a relatively new ministerial team in England, and the post-Referendum reshuffle of responsibilities in Scotland".

There you are.  Such a pity; if only they'd had more time (say 10 years) to prepare for it, things might have been different.  No mention of the Welsh you'll notice – probably worrying about PISA – and the N. Irish would have been too busy (as ever) squabbling over totemic issues such as flags and marches to bother about the wider world.

Happily, for all who missed it, here's an official montage of festivities.  You'll likely glimpse an old friend or two, and the occasional bad penny.  I certainly did.
